Relieve your TMJ pain.
If you suffer from headaches and jaw pain, it could mean you suffer from Temporomandibular Joint Disorder, also known as “TMJ syndrome”.
TMJ syndrome refers to the inflammation of the TMJ joint – the joint that connects your jaw to your skull. When this becomes inflamed, it can cause a variety of types of pain, including headaches, migraines, and neck and shoulder pain. It can also cause difficulty biting and a clicking sound when opening and closing your mouth.
There are multiple causes of TMJ syndrome, including: malalignment of your teeth, jaw thrusting, trauma, clenching or grinding your teeth, excessive gum chewing or nail-biting, a joint disease (such as osteoarthritis), or lack of overbite. The treatment of TMJ depends on the cause.
